What to Register For, Y’all — A Little Motherly Advice

Okay, y’all. Let’s sit down and chat about your registry.

Here’s my best piece of advice, and I want you to really picture it: imagine you’re hosting Thanksgiving five years from now. What does that look like? Walk through it with me.

Are you in a home by then? Do you have a guest bathroom? Then you’ll want guest towels and all those little touches. Do you have a guest room? You’ll need bedding to make it cozy. Are you serving up the traditional turkey and all the sides?

When it comes to choosing the best months to get married in the Dallas area, timing is everything! The ideal months are generally March, April, October, and November. These months provide the most comfortable weather, avoiding the extremes of the hot Texas summer and the unpredictability of winter.

Spring (March & April): Spring is a beautiful time in Dallas, with blooming flowers and mild temperatures ranging from the 60s to 80s. The weather is typically dry, making it perfect for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. However, be mindful of the possibility of spring showers, and consider a backup plan just in case.
