Some weddings are a day. Alexis and Chandler’s was a whole weekend — and what a weekend it was. Tucked into the rolling Texas Hill Country just outside Glen Rose, Rough Creek Lodge set the stage for three days of celebration that felt equal parts luxury retreat and down-home Texas party. From the first “welcome, y’all” to the final firework fading over the ranch, this was the kind of destination wedding weekend our team lives for.

If you’ve never been, picture 9,000-plus acres of Texas Hill Country beauty, sitting a comfortable 90 minutes from the DFW metroplex — close enough to be easy, far enough to feel like a true escape.

When it comes to choosing the best months to get married in the Dallas area, timing is everything! The ideal months are generally March, April, October, and November. These months provide the most comfortable weather, avoiding the extremes of the hot Texas summer and the unpredictability of winter.

Spring (March & April): Spring is a beautiful time in Dallas, with blooming flowers and mild temperatures ranging from the 60s to 80s. The weather is typically dry, making it perfect for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. However, be mindful of the possibility of spring showers, and consider a backup plan just in case.

Some love stories bring two worlds together, and Maura and Andre’s did just that — a beautiful blend of Brazil and Texas, both bride and groom proudly Brazilian. Their summer celebration was romantic, vibrant, and full of the warmth of two cultures coming together as one.

The stunning Gardenia venue set the scene, filled with a fresh spring-and-summer palette of blues, yellows, white, and green. Florals by Millie May Blooms brought the whole space to life, while Maura looked absolutely breathtaking — with hair and makeup by Grand Slam Glam.

Even though they are from different countries, Inma and Christian met on a dating app. Inma was in the Dallas area working as an au pair and wanted to meet others before she returned to her home country. Well, Texas has now gained another lovely lady!

Guests at Inma and Christian’s wedding were greeted with Spanish sangria from HD Liquid Catering as they entered the stunning chapel at The Grand Ivory. Soft, romantic shades of dusty rose, whites, and sage florals adorned the chapel, courtesy of Millie May Blooms.

Bailey and Connor’s wedding day was a colorful, beautiful, modern extravaganza at the Hotel Swexan – giving Texas as well as European vibes!

The Hotel Swexan was the perfect backdrop for this glamorous Downtown Dallas wedding. Millie May’s bright flowers accented the day while guests could observe the Dallas skyline as they waited for the ceremony to start, enjoying music by strings from Intensity Band.

From “I Do” to Tee Time: Abby & Kevin’s Wedding Day Detour

Set in McKinney, Texas, their wedding day was the perfect blend of classic elegance, meaningful details, and one unforgettable twist — a wedding day break that sent the newlyweds and the wedding party straight from their ceremony to Topgolf for a little tee time before the reception.

Kat and Daniel traveled from Florida to Texas with one goal in mind—creating an intimate elopement that felt uniquely them. Their wedding day at Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney, Texas blended romance, personality, and a true Texas experience.

The celebration began the day before the wedding with a playful photo session at Pinstack. Surrounded by colorful arcade games and bright lights, Kat and Daniel embraced their fun-loving personalities. The relaxed, carefree atmosphere made for unforgettable photos and videos by Silver Bear Creative and set the tone for a wedding experience that was anything but traditional.

Jessica and Grant’s wedding day was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and lively celebration. From a gorgeous Catholic ceremony at St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth to a packed dance floor at Château Joli, every detail reflected their romantic style and joyful energy.

Having met while attending Texas A&M, their love story came full circle with a wedding day filled with meaningful moments, beautiful details, plenty of celebration with family and friends, and, of course, the Aggie War Hymn!
