Some wedding days are beautiful because everything goes exactly according to plan. Others are beautiful because of the way everyone comes together when things don’t.

Audrey and Ethan’s wedding day at The Nest at Ruth Farms was definitely the second kind.

As high school sweethearts and long distance partners, these two have already weathered years of life’s seasons together. So when rain clouds settled over North Texas on their wedding day, it seemed fitting that their celebration would become a beautiful reminder that the best things often come after the storm.

But if there was one thing that stood out more than the weather, it was Audrey and Ethan’s incredible attitude. They remained calm, joyful, and completely focused on what truly mattered—marrying their best friend.

And honestly? That joy was contagious.

Bright Spring Blooms & Southern Charm

Despite the rainy forecast, Audrey’s vision brought sunshine into every corner of the day.

Bright spring florals filled the venue with cheerful shades of coral, peach, blush, soft pink, and pops of yellow. Millie May Blooms created stunning arrangements that perfectly balanced elegance with personality, while classic blue-and-white chinoiserie-inspired vases added a timeless Southern touch.

The colorful florals felt fresh, joyful, and full of life—just like the couple themselves.

Baseball Details That Hit It Out of the Park

One of our favorite parts of Audrey and Ethan’s wedding was how thoughtfully they incorporated baseball throughout the celebration.

Their custom seating chart was an instant guest favorite. Rather than traditional escort cards, each guest received a personalized baseball directing them to their table. It was interactive, unique, and such a fun reflection of the couple’s shared love of the game.

The baseball theme continued throughout the reception with tables named after iconic baseball stadiums, creating personal touches that felt playful while still blending beautifully with the overall design.

It’s always our favorite when couples find ways to make their wedding feel unmistakably “them,” and Audrey and Ethan did exactly that.

Rain All Day, Joy All Day

While the rain may have altered a few plans, it never altered the spirit of the day.

One of the things we love most about the wedding industry is watching incredible vendors rally together when unexpected challenges arise. Every member of this vendor team worked tirelessly throughout the day to keep Audrey and Ethan comfortable, protect the details they had worked so hard to create, and ensure guests could enjoy every moment.

From umbrellas and quick pivots to plenty of teamwork behind the scenes, everyone showed up with the same goal: giving this couple the wedding day they deserved.

And they absolutely delivered.

Beer Burros & Unforgettable Memories

As if personalized baseball seating assignments weren’t memorable enough, guests were treated to another crowd favorite—the beer burros.

These adorable four-legged bartenders quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the evening, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter, and photo opportunities.

Combined with incredible food, lively entertainment, and a packed dance floor with music by Uptown Sound, the celebration was full of thoughtful experiences that made guests feel part of something truly special.

And Then Came the Rainbow

Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any sweeter, the skies began to clear after dinner.

As guests continued celebrating inside, a beautiful rainbow appeared over The Nest at Ruth Farms.

We quickly snuck Audrey and Ethan outside for portraits, and the result was pure magic. After embracing every change the weather brought and choosing joy through it all, these high school sweethearts were rewarded with some of the most breathtaking photo opportunities imaginable under a rainbow.

If there was ever a reminder that beautiful things can come after the storm, this was it.

A Day We’ll Never Forget

Rain or shine, this day was a beautiful reflection of Audrey and Ethan’s relationship—steady, joyful, and full of grace.

What we’ll remember most isn’t the weather. It’s Audrey’s smile. Ethan’s excitement. The laughter of family and friends. The incredible teamwork of a vendor team determined to make the day unforgettable.

Most of all, we’ll remember a love story years in the making and the rainbow that appeared as if to celebrate right alongside them.
